Delete Your Account

You can delete your Rekvio account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to make a deletion request, what data is removed, what (if anything) is retained, and how long it takes.

How to delete your account

Option 1 — In the app (recommended, instant):

1. Open Rekvio on your phone and sign in to the account you want to delete
2. Tap the Profile tab
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Your account and data are removed immediately. No further steps required.

Option 2 — By email:

If you cannot access the app (lost device, locked out, uninstalled), email us from the address tied to your Rekvio account:

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following are permanently removed from our servers:

• Account credentials — your Firebase Authentication record (email, sign-in method, uid)
• Bike profiles — make, model, year, engine, displacement, category, and any other bike details
• Service logs — every service entry, including type, date, cost, and notes
• Odometer readings — current and historical odometer values
• Deferrals — any deferred or snoozed service reminders
• Notification preferences — push token, reminder settings, dismissal history
• Riding preferences — riding pattern, distance unit, and any other personalisation
• All other user data stored under your uid in Firestore

This action is irreversible. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

What is retained

Nothing identifiable. We retain only anonymised, aggregated analytics (e.g. counts of bikes by category) that cannot be linked back to you, your account, or your device. No personal information, no bike-specific records, no service history.

How long it takes

In-app deletion happens immediately. Your authentication record is removed and your data is purged from Firestore at the moment you confirm.

Email requests are processed within 30 days, usually within 7. We will reply to confirm once deletion is complete. If we need to verify your identity (for example, the email does not match the account), we may ask you to confirm details before processing.

Guest users

If you used Rekvio without creating an account, your data is stored only on your device — never on our servers. There is no account to delete on our end.

To remove all guest data:

• Uninstall the Rekvio app, or
• Clear app storage from your device's Settings → Apps → Rekvio → Storage → Clear data (Android) or delete and reinstall the app (iOS)
